I Keep You Moving
I'm a certified personal trainer based in Santa Cruz, California. As a coastal local I've grown up with the beach and mountains in my backyard, which led me to a very fit lifestyle at a young age. I spent ten years teaching martial arts, eight years as a competitive swimmer, six years horseback riding, and many other activities. Each of these sports has a unique requirements for the body to perform, and each comes with a risk.
In 2011 my life changed when I was hit by a car. As someone who was always on the move I had no idea how to survive as a couch potato until I could get back to what I loved. After 2 years of physical therapy that couch potato lifestyle had become a norm for me, and I lost my love for activities. Sometime in 2013 I went swimming, and I'd finally had enough when I realized how difficult swimming had become. So I went to the gym, found an amazing trainer, and my life has never been the same.
After entering the fitness world again I found a new passion for helping others. Using the skills I learned prior to my accident, plus the physical therapy, I have had the pleasure of helping other people keep moving. This is where I come in. I'm all about helping you move the best way for your goals, whether it's weight loss, muscle gain, dance, or day to day function. Basic physics states an object in motion stays in motion, and that's true for people too. We get used to pizza and ice cream dinners (definitely guilty of this one) and we forget how to nourish and strengthen our bodies so we can do the things we love. I've come to learn that fitness isn't about diet and exercise; it's about making a life for yourself. Your success, is my success and all I want is to help you succeed.
